Recommended System

Windows XP Professional, at least 512 MB RAM

Installing the USB key:

Step 1: Run INSTALL65.EXE on the computer where the key will be located.

Step 2: Run the Sentinel Protection install program from

Start:Programs:MDX Software:MDX Version 6.5

Step 3: Restart the computer if prompted

Step 4: Attach the key after restarting has completed

Step 5: Set the environment variable MDX_HOST = 127.0.0.1 on this computer

Installing MDX Version 6.5 on other computers:

Step 1: Run INSTALL65.EXE

Step 2: Run the Sentinel Protection install program from

Start:Programs:MDX Software:MDX Version 6.5

Step 3: Restart the computer if prompted

Step 4: Run the Sentinel Monitor Tool from

Start:Programs:MDX Software:MDX Version 6.5

and identify in the tree view both this computer and the computer that has the key

attached to it.

Step 5: Set the environment variable MDX_HOST on this computer equal to the IP address or

Machine name of the computer that has the key attached to it as it appears in the

Sentinel Monitoring Tool.

Uninstalling earlier versions of MDX

Uninstall earlier versions of MDX using Start:Control Panel:Add/Remove Programs
